BİR KİTAP HAYATINIZI DEĞİŞTİREBİLİR - A BOOK CAN CHANGE YOUR LİFE

~*~*~*English is below the entry~*~*~*

Srila Prabhupada always emphasizes on the power of sound vibration and the power of his books, the importance of getting the true knowledge through the authorized literature.

Prabhupada: If you sell a book to someone, that is better than your speaking to them–what will your three minutes’ preaching do? But if they read a book it may turn their life.

~*~*~* English is below the rest of the entry~*~*~

olacak her şeyin SEBEBİDİR.

Allah- Buddha- Jehova- Rama: Hepsi KRISHNA, hepsi tektir.

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna, Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama söyşemekle hemen Tanrı-Bilinci geliştirir.

Prabhupada has written so many nice books that you can spend your whole life swimming in an ocean of Transendental liberating knowledge & in the association of the most exalted spiritual representative on spiritual subject matters. Krsna book which is full of nectar, devotion, enlightening teachings and more is one of my favourites . George Harrison of the Beatles who is also a follower and a student of Prabhupada wrote the sum and bonum of the Krishna Conscioussnes in such a uniting way regardless discrimination of religion, faith and identity, just as he learnt from his teacher A.C. Bhaktivedenta Prabhupada.
WORDS FROM GEORGE HARRISON…

Everybody is looking for KRISHNA.Some don’t realize that they are, but they are.

KRISHNA is GOD, the Source of all that exists, the Cause of all that is, was, or ever will be.
As GOD is unlimited HE has many Names.

Allah-Buddha-Jehova-Rama: All are KRISHNA, all are ONE.

God is not abstract; He has both the impersonal and the personal aspects to His personality which is SUPREME, ETERNAL, BLISSFUL, and full of KNOWLEDGE. As a single drop of water has the same qualities as an ocean of water, so has our consciousness the qualities of GOD’S consciousness… but through our identification and attachment with material energy (physical body, sense pleasures, material possessions, ego, etc.) our true TRANSCENDENTAL CONSCIOUSNESS has been polluted, and like a dirty mirror it is unable to reflet a pure image.
With many lives our association with the TEMPORARY has grown. This impermanent body, a bag of bones and flesh, is mistaken for our true self, and we have accepted this temporary condition to be final.

Through all ages, great SAINTS have remained as living proof that this non-temporary, permanent state of GOD CONSCIOUSNESS can be revived in all living Souls. Each soul is potentially divine. Krsna says in Bhagavad Gita: “Steady in the Self, being freed from all material contamination, the yogi achieves the highest perfetional stage of happiness in touch with the Supreme Consciousness.” (VI,28)

YOGA -a scientific method for GOD (SELF) realization- is the process by which we puirify our consciousness, stop further pollution, and arrive at the state of Perfection, full KNOWLEDGE, full BLISS.

If there’s a God, I want to see Him. It’s pointless to believe in something without proof, and Krishna Consciousness and meditation are methods where you can actually obtain GOD preception. You can actually see God, and Hear Him, play with Him. It might sound crazy, but He is actually there, actually with you.

There are many yogic Paths–Raja, Jnana, Hatha, Kriya, Karma, Bhakti–which are all acclaimed by the MASTERS of each method.SWAMI BHAKTIVEDANTA is as his title says, a BHAKTI Yogi following the path of DEVOTION. By serving GOD through each thought, word, and DEED, and by chanting HIS Holy Names, the devotee quickly develops God-consciousness. By chanting
Hare Krishna, Hare KrishnaKrishna Krishna, Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama.

I request that you take advantage of this book KRSNA, and enter into its understanding. I also request that you make an appointment to meet your God now, through the self liberating process of YOGA (UNION) and GIVE PEACE A CHANCE.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE (KRISHNA) HARİ BOL

BHAGAVAD GİTA'YA ÖVGÜLER - PRAISES to BHAGAVAD GİTA

~*~*~* English is below the rest of the entry~*~*~
Bhagavad-gita hakkında yazdık ve Bhagavad-gita’yı biraz Prabhupada’dan okuduk. Bugün dünyada Bhagavad-gita’nın binlerce farklı baskısı olmasına rağmen, A.C.

~ Dr. Alaka Hejib, Department of Sankrit and Indian Studies, Harvard University

~ Dr. Shaligram Shukla, Proffessor of Linguistics, Georgetown University

~ Dr. J. Bruce Long, Department of Asian Studies, Cornell Universtiy

“ A.C. ~ Dr. O.B.L. Kapoor, Felsefe Bölümü Profesörü ve Kurul Başkanı Emeklisi, Government Postgraduate College, Gyanpur, Hindistan

I have wirtten about Bhagavad-gita and we read about Bhagavad-gita from Prabhupada. Although Bhagavad-gita has thousands of different editions in the world today, let’s read from university scholars and famous personalities why A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami’s Bhagavad-gita is different, unique and authorized. Here are the praises to Bhagavad-gita…

“When doubts haunt me, when dissappointments stare at me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon, I turn to Bhagavad-gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and meanings from it every day.” ~ Mohandas K. Ghandhi

“In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagavad-Gita, in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seems puny and trivial.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
"When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous.” ~ Albert Einstein

“I owed a magnificent day to the Bhagavad-Gita. It was the first of books; it was as if an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the same questions which exercise us.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The Bhagavad-Gita has a profound influence on the spirit of mankind by its devotion to God which is manifested by actions.” ~ Dr. Albert Schweizer

“… For those who have no Access to the Sanskrit language, these books convey, in superb manner, the message of the Bhagavatam.” ~ Dr. Alaka Hejib, Department of Sankrit and Indian Studies, Harvard University

“…It’s a deeply felt, powerfully conceived, and beautifully explained work. I don’t know whether to praise more this translation of the Bhagavad-gita, it’s daring method of explaination, or the endless fertility of it’s ideas. I have never seen any other work on the Gita with such an important voice and style… It will occupy a significant place in the intellectual and ethical life of modern man for a long time to come.” ~ Dr. Shaligram Shukla, Proffessor of Linguistics, Georgetown University

“… For the first time we posses a readily accessible edition for this great religious classic that will provide opportunity for Indian scholars in Indian literature and followers of the Krsna Consicousness tradition alike to compare the original text with a modern English translation and become acquainted with the deeper spiritual meaning of this work through the learned commentary of Sri Bhaktivedanta.

… Anyone who gives a close reading to the commentary will sense that here, as in his other Works, Sri Bhaktivedanta has combined a healthy mixture of the fervent devotion and aesthetic sensitivity of a devotee and the intellectual rigor of a textual scholar. At no point does the author allow the intented meaning of the text to be eclipsed by the promotion of a particular doctrinal persuasion. “…These exquisitely wrought volumes will be a welcome addition to the libraries of all persons who are committed to the study of Indian spirituality and religious literature whether their interests are sparked by the motivations of the scholar, the devotee or the general reader.” ~ Dr. J. Bruce Long, Department of Asian Studies, Cornell Universtiy

“This English edition translated by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is superb. It contains the original Sanskrit and Bengali verses with their English transliterations, synonyms, translations and elaborate purports, easily bearing testimony to author’s profound knowledge of the subject.” ~ Dr. O.B.L. Kapoor, Emeretitus Charman and Professor, Department of Philosophy, Government Postgraduate College, Gyanpur, India

BHAGAVAD GİTA AS IT IS'İN İÇERİĞİ - CONTENTS OF THE BHAGAVAD GITA

~*~*~* English is below the rest of the entry~*~*~*

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada: The subject of the Bhagavad-gita entails the comprehension of five basic truths. First of all, the science of God is explained and then the constitutional position of the living entities, jivas. There is isvara, which means the controller, and there are jivas, the living entities which are controlled. If a living entity says that he is not controlled but that he is free, then he is insane. The living being is controlled in every respect, at least in his conditioned life. So in the Bhagavad-gita the subject matter deals with the isvara, the supreme controller, and the jivas, the controlled living entities. Prakrti (material nature) and time (the duration of existence of the whole universe or the manifestation of material nature) and karma (activity) are also discussed. The cosmic manifestation is full of different activities. All living entities are engaged in different activities. From Bhagavad-gita we must learn what God is, what the living entities are, what prakrti is, what the cosmic manifestation is, how it is controlled by time, and what the activities of the living entities are.

BHAGAVAD GİTA ÖZGÜN HALİYLE - BHAGAVAD GİTA AS IT IS

~*~*~* English is below the rest of the entry~*~*~*

Hare Krishna! Bhagavad-gita’nın kabul edilmiş ve yetkin bir yazın olduğunun göstergesi bugün elimizdeki Bhagavad-gita As It Is’i İngilizce olarak tüm dünyaya kazandıran A.C.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Bhagavad-gita As It Is Giriş
...Bhagavad-gita nedir?

Hare Krishna! Today there is a very precious gift that I want to share with you: Bhagavad-gita. I think Bhagavad-gita is one of the best presents ever given to humanity. Today there are millions who consider this book as the most precious gift of their life and the savior of their life. Bhagavad-gita is universally renowned as the jewel of India’s spiritual wisdom. It was spoken by Krishna to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukşetra which you can stil see in India. Arjuna’s perfect questions about all the confusion, anxieties, our duties, the cause of our existence, the universe, what God is, self-realization and more, that we may experience in this age of Kali (the age of fight, quarrel and hypocrisy) and Krishna’s perfect answers to those questions, that have been enlightening the mankind since then can be found in the Bhagavad-gita. The indicator of Bhagava-gita’s being an approved and authorized literature today is A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s being an authorized acarya who has brought the Bhagavad-gita As It Is in, that we are holding in our hands today in english, to the whole world and his being a Vedic scholar and a great devotee. Furthermore it’s the reason why Bhagavad-gita As It Is has changed the lives of million’s in the direction of self-realization. Moreover, when the prasing words of the present scholar’s are added, I can just tell you for now to read Bhagavad-gita from A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, both who translated and commented the book strictly sticking to the original teachings and who is the Founder Acarya of International Society of Krishna Consiousness. I hope the small excerpt from the introduction part of the book will tell you much better.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Bhagavad-gita As It Is Introduction

…Just what is the Bhagavad-gita? The purpose of Bhagavad-gita is to deliver mankind from the nescience of material existence. Every man is in difficulty in so many ways, as Arjuna also was in difficulty in having to fight the Battle of Kuruksetra. Arjuna surrendered unto Çri Krsna, and consequently this Bhagavad-gita was spoken. Not only Arjuna, but every one of us is full of anxieties because of this material existence. Our very existence is in the atmosphere of nonexistence. Actually we are not meant to be threatened by nonexistence. Our existence is eternal. But somehow or other we are put into asat. Asat refers to that which does not exist.

Out of so many human beings who are suffering, there are a few who are actually inquiring about their position, as to what they are, why they are put into this awkward position and so on. Unless one is awakened to this position of questioning his suffering, unless he realizes that he doesn’t want suffering but rather wants to make a solution to all suffering, then one is not to be considered a perfect human being. Humanity begins when this sort of inquiry is awakened in one’s mind. In the Brahma-sütra this inquiry is called brahma jijïasa. Athato brahma jijïasa. Every activity of the human being is to be considered a failure unless he inquires about the nature of the Absolute. Therefore those who begin to question why they are suffering or where they came from and where they shall go after death are proper students for understanding Bhagavad-gita. …
